The Native American flute is the voice of this land. Haunting or believing, it is a way to communicate your authentic voice into the world. The tradition was kept in the spirit with the people voicing, communicating with their inner self in relations of life. We wish to share this tradition with you, in the two flute circles we sponsor. In these flute circles, you will find a sharing of food, community, laughter and a supportive place to learn. All levels, from one who has never played the flute, to the experienced flute players, makers, and performers are represented in the circle. It is a place of support and mutual growth and learning. We ask no monetary donations, just the grace of your presence.

Our circle was established in Jan. 2004 combining the healing nature of the Native American Flute with the support system of our Cancer Support Center. All our members were “living with cancer”, as survivors or caregivers. Our goal was the celebration of living through the playing of the flute and listening as others expressed themselves in their playing. It was a time of calm, peace, and healing as well as a wonderful time of fellowship.

The name, ”Living Water”, was inspired by Andrew Begay, and reflects the idea that we are made of water … we come from water. Without water we cannot live.

We have two groups which meet in our home. One group meets Tues. mornings from 9:30- 10:00 (coffee, tea, snacks, and conversation) 10:00-11:30 music.

The second meets at our home on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 (We really get started closer to 7 and end around 9... depends on who's here and who wants to stay.) It's probably easiest if you use MapQuest to locate our home or call for directions. You are invited to join us in this creative, supportive, and learning circle. This is a chance to express your own authentic self through the art of music.
